~*~Taking You Back In Dreams To YesterYear~*~

In The Still Of The Night
The Five Satins

In the still of the night
I held you
Held you tight
'Cause I love
Love you so
Promise I'll never
Let you go
In the still of the night

I remember
That night in May
The stars were bright above
I'll hope and I'll pray
To keep your precious love
Well before the light
Hold me again
With all of your might
In the still of the night
(In the still of the night)

So before the light
Hold me again
With all of your might
In the still of the night
(In the still of the night)

Only Friends ~*~Dee~*~

This R and B vocal group was formed in New Haven, Connecticut, USA, in 1955.
The Five Satins' first hit, "In The Still Of The Nite", was one of the
definitive songs of the early rock 'n' roll era, with its strong chanting
of doo-wop riffs in the background and impassioned lead work.

In The Still Of The Nite continues to be a much-requested song on oldies
stations throughout the country, and has sold millions of copies over the
years since Fred Parris wrote it while on guard duty in the Army in 1956.
