I have two friends which I wish to place on the prayer list. They are both battling cancer. My friend Leehas been battling for a year now. We are praying the tumors will shrink enough that the doctors can perform surgery. He has been taking treatments and the smaller tumors have not grown any but the large mass has not shrunk enough for surgery. The second is for a friend named Viola. She has been sent home to live out her days. The doctors have given her three to five months but we know a Master Physician and He has the final say. Please pray for thse two special people.

I am new to this site I hope these prayer requests go through. I am asking for prayers for my husband Doug who just underwent kidney stone surgery and had to have a camera put down into his stomach for bleeding ulcers in his esophagus, my son Doug Jr. has an emotional disability, depression and anxiety and was in the hospital twice due to a medication that gave him bad side effects, my mom Mickey who was diagnosed vertigo and has to undergo therapy every day, my dad who has not been feeling well, my sister Dana who fell injuring her knee and has to undergo therapy everyday, my cousin Dawn's friend Mary who fell crushing her elbow needing surgery, my uncle George, my husbands brother Dennis, my mom good friends Rosemary and Betty who are all dieing of cancer and Dennis' wife Sue who suffers from depression which I suffered from for years but Thank God no longer do but I suffer from anxiety because of all of this. My husband and I both lost alot of relatives on both sides of our family to cancer over the years,my husband lost both his parents W.L and Virginia and his brother Donald to cancer, his twin brother Darryl to suicide by gunshot wound to the head, his youngest brother Steve died at the hands of a drunk driver high on cocaine who hit my brother-in-laws car killing him instantly and injuring the woman Sonya he lived with who died a year after the accident. My husbands brother Richard has to undergo lap band surgery and his sister Barbara has to undergo back surgery. So out of 7 kids in his family there are only 4 left and one is dieing just like my mom who had 11 siblings and all of them are dead except for 4 and one is dieing also. My Aunt Jill and her daughter Rosemary who have several illnesses, my childhood friend Janine who committed suicide leaving behind 3 daughters and her mom Anna Maria who suffers from depression, my friend Martine who is dieing of an incurable blood disease, my friend Timmy who has cerebral palsy, three of my cousins who died in 2009 my closest cousin Peggy who died of cancer, my cousin Cheryl who of heart trouble and my cousin Dawn's son Joey who got killed in a motorcycle accident also my moms friend Eileen who died from a stroke, my friend Mary whose only child Chris had down syndrome and heart problems and died from acute lukemia 3 years after his dad Jim died of cancer and their house blew down from a hurricane, my friend Kathy's son who was run over by a car and survived, my friend Angela who passed away of cancer, my friend Alberta who is going through a rough time after losing some of her family. Also 4 of my 8 pets died in 2009 my bassett hound Presley who I had for 12 years died of cancer, my cat Amanda, my rabbit Brittany and my lovebird Venus and also a bird that was run over by a car that I rescued. I am probably forgetting others but I would deeply appreciate that everyone please keep all of my family, friends and pets living and deceased in your prayers and also pray for all of the people in Haiti and for all of the celebrities who died in 2009 and for anyone else who may need prayers. I would deeply appreciate it and I know all of them would to. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. You, your families and friends are in my prayers. Take Care And God Bless!

Please pray for our family. Specifically my husband has been out of work for some time. Please help us pray that he can find gainful employment and benefits to support our family. I found a job. I am grateful for that, but it is very low pay and no benefits. Thank You... God Bless you all!!

My friend needs work very badly. She has been without work and medical for long time. She gets temporary work and then they finish with her and she is gone. She has thyroid and other medical issues and has not had her medicine for a very long time now. She needs help. Thank you for being here to pray.

Robert I know you have enough to worry about, but I just wanted to let you know how my Daughter is doing, she is in the hospital with pneumonia, they did a Ct scan & they found a little spot of cancer on her brain, she had cancer in her lung & she was healed of that ,now she has 2 spots on her liver, they are going to give her radiation on her brain & Chemo on her liver. The Dr. said if the radiation don't work she has a few months to a year to live. She needs all the prayers she can get, the Churches around here are praying for her. She has a family, three daughters ,they are married & she has 5 grandkids. I need all the prayers I can get . Your friend Norma

Latest Update for Shy's son, Derek
Dear Friends,
First of all I thank everyone who has prayed for my son, Derek. I am saving the many emails and prayers that have been sent to me on his behalf. There have been some changes in his condition, most are very good and shows a great healing in his body for which we are so thankful to God for and is a testimony to the power of prayers. As I first told you they had him in an induced coma, well he has been off the sedation for over a week now and is still unconscious. The trauma surgeon has told us that he has had a stroke since the accident which has caused damage to the left side of his brain. The surgeon's prognosis was not very encouraging but we are trusting in the Greatest Physician and know that He is continuing to heal his body. It is such a miracle that he is still alive and doing as well as he is, and we give credit to GOD for this and for also directing the hands of every nurse, doctor and surgeon who are taking care of him.
So far he has had three surgical procedures and needs 2 more. I think I had mentioned in my last update that they had set his broken bones on the left and right sides of his body. From his hip down into his lower leg and had put stabilizing bars in place to keep them aligned and he was in traction as well. Since then they went back into the left side from his hip down into his lower leg and put in permanent rods and pins. They had him scheduled last Thursday to do the right side which involves his shoulder which has two breaks and is dislocated, his lower leg, ankle and foot which has multiple breaks; but he had a fever and his white blood cell count was elevated almost twice the normal so they postponed this surgery until all that is resolved. They found an infection in his left lung and are giving him antibiotics to treat that. His temperature was up as high as 103 and now is down almost to normal, but his white blood cells are still somewhat elevated. We are now waiting an
d taking things day by day. He has a break in his back and they will also need to address that later on.
He is now off the ventilator and breathing entirely on his own and has a trachea as well as a feeding tube in his stomach. He is stable enough that they were able to move him from the critical care unit to a step down unit this morning. In this room we will be able to stay overnight with him if we want to and also the visiting hours are much more lenient and he can have visitors other than his family. This will be so much better for us and is good that he can have more visitors.
Please keep the prayers going for him and agreeing with us that God is doing a great healing in his body and mind. God has been so gracious to us every day and there is not enough PRAISES that we can send up to thank HIM completely for all HE has done and all He continues to do. Keep the notes of encouragement coming as well, they are so comforting and appreciated more than you will ever know. I will send out another update in a couple of weeks or so.
