I am still in a great deal of pain especially in the back and left leg which I think should have started to lessen by now. I am getting a little concerned as it is 3 weeks since the surgery and I would have thought the pain would have started to lessen a bit by now. There isn't a lot I can do about it except keep taking far too many pain killers as I do not like taking morphine on a prolonged basis. However without them I simply find the pain far to difficult to cope with.
I have my next appointment with the specialist on April 21st so until then all I can do is continue to carry on the best I can.

Please keep in your prayers a good friend I'm sure many of you know.

Can you please say a prayer for me, and also let any that ask about me know that I will not be around for a few days. I am going into hospital tomorrow for surgery on my spine so I hope it will alleviate some of the pain, especially in my legs and allow me to maybe get around a bit easier.
They say that they can do nothing about the back pain, but are hoping to relieve the pain in my legs.
The surgery is not without some risk (as most spinal surgery is) and basically there will be three possible outcomes.
(1) It is successful and the pain in my legs gets much less, although they say it could easily return at some later time.
(2) Nothing changes and the surgery simply doesn't do anything.
(3) A risk of actually making it worse and creating even more pain and problems for me.
I did seriously consider not having the surgery, but decided that even if it only helps for a short time, it will be worthwhile as the pain I am in at times is simply unbearable.

I WANT TO THANK EVERY ONE WHO PRAYED FOR JOHN HANNAH, ROGER CARRUTHERS AND CHERYL CHAFIN.
SADLY, JOHN PASSED AWAY THE DAY AFTER I PUT THE REQUEST ON. WE DO KNOW THAT HE IS WITH JESUS AND HAPPY IN HEAVEN.
CHERYL IS COMING HOME AFTER THE TERRIBLE STROKE THAT THE DOCTORS SAID THAT SHE WOULD NOT RECOVER FROM. THROUGH PRAYER AND BY THE GRACE OF GOD SHE IS DOING REMARKABLE WELL. SHE HAD TO HAVE SPEECH AND CONGITON THEREAPY FOR A WHILE ON AN OUT PATIENT BASIS. SHE IS ABLE TO CARE FOR HERSELF AS FAR AS HER DAILY NEEDS AND WILL CONTINUE TO DO BETTER DAY BY DAY.
ROGER CARRUTHERS IS ALSO BACK HOME AND DOING WELL.
WE SERVE SUCH A LOVING GOD WHO PROMISED HEALING AND LIFE ETERNAL.
I PRAISE HIM FOR THE HEALING AND I PRAISE HIM THAT WHEN JOHN HANNAH'S TIME CAME TO GO HOME, HE WAS READY TO MEET HIS SAVIOR AND NOW LIVES FOREVER IN HEAVEN.
