~If Only~
As each day passes so quickly
And the nights seem an eternity
Without you resting by my side
For now I hold you in my dreams.
If only to hold you once more
And to touch your precious face
Consume and inhale your presence
Enough to fill a life time of days. 
Once more to say I love you
To see love in your eyes for me
And to hear you whisper in return
Words that make me complete. Each night kneeling at our bedside
Softly whispering prayer from heart
Creating a loving chain to guide me
As a stairway to heaven, where you are.
The thoughts of you are constant
Never a moment of day passes by
I can hear echoes of your laughter
That lifts my heart ever so high. My pain is comforted with knowing
You suffer in earthly form no more
For now you ve touched his loving face
And kissed the hands of our precious Lord. Please Do Not
