The direction I've been traveling
And the places I have roamed
Has shown me many things
And took me a long way from homeI've rode the rails from time to time,
And watched from the side of the tracks
As a train sped by on it's way
Thinking tomorrow it might be coming back

I'll just spend another night
Here with the others I've found
Talking bout the places we've been
And wondering bout the other way around
My possessions are light to carry
I don't have much in the way of many
I'm always moving onward
Searching for the land of plenty

I've traveled a long way from home
My future's unseen and unsure
So I push onward with a desire
Ever searching, always following the lure
