A blanket of white lies over the land It drifts down from the Masters Hand Through the woods and over the trails Out in the pasture and into the dales Covering the roads with it's flakes It also falls into the ponds and the lakes Makes everything look fresh and new As you look from every angle of view Tree branches laden and hangin' low Holding their part of the falling snow The ball field is covered, no practice today The kids are at home and will ride on their sleigh Out in the road the deer turn and look Startled they jump and run toward the brook But the eye of my camera caught them just right Before they took off in a frightened flight I stand here in this beautiful world of white My heart is filled with wonder and delight A time and place where I've never been But I know for sure I'll come here again Melva ©January 31, 2010 Romans 5: 8-9 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. Photo: Entrance into Ridgeview Park in Waynesboro, Virginia
